Stroke Survivors Needed For Research Study on Recovery Program

Stroke survivors from the Niagara, Brantford and Hamilton areas are needed for a research study exploring whether participants in the Fit for Function stroke recovery program show improved health. The study will begin in October and last for three months. It will take place at the Hamilton Downtown Family YMCA, Brantford Family YMCA and the Walker Family YMCA in St. Catharines. Gore Mutual Celebrates 175 Years with $175,000 for YMCA Camps

The YMCA of Hamilton/Burlington/Brantford is excited to announce that Gore Mutual Insurance Company has made a $175,000 gift to YMCA residential camps in celebration of its 175th anniversary. YMCA Wanakita, our residential camp located in Haliburton Ontario along with 16 other YMCA camps, will recieve a gift of $10,000. The gift will allow YMCA Wanakita to add to and repair their fleet of boats.
